Conference Opening in:TU-K is participating in Design Thinking Hackathon, a 3-day innovative challenge jointly organised together with Riara University. The Hackathon objectives includes; promoting cross-institutional collaboration, fostering innovation, mentorship and skill development. Students from University of Nairobi and Kenya Methodist University are also participating in the competition. Industry players including; Anza Village, Kenya Innovation Week 2024, Kenya National Innovation Agency, NCBA Bank, Huawei ICT Academy, Microsoft, Africa Development Center and Naivas are supporting the competition. Prof. Alfred Orina, DVC - Research and Technology Development led members of staff from TU-K who will mentor the student innovators. Prof. Orina represented VC Prof. Benedict Mutua during the opening ceremony. Prof. Wanja Tenambergen – DVC Academic Affairs, Riara University received all the participants.
